Why practice??

 

I haven't been in touch in a long time but I have certainly maintained my daily practices.  Why do we practice? Whatever it is you do, meditation, breathing, yoga, walking, sitting, chant... why do we do it?

I can tell you why I do it.  I do it because we live in a world with so many things going on and I need a time and space every single day to focus my mind, to clear it of extraneous chatter, in order to be able to move in the world as a #forceforgood. 

I believe we practice because it connects us to our Higher purpose but mostly because we just feel better when we do.  I've never met someone who said, "Oh, I wish I hadn't practiced meditation today."  :)

Anyway.  How's your practice going?  Keep UP and you will be Kept UP according to Yogi Bhajan.

Simple Everyday Spiritual Practice
Breathe deeply for 3 minutes.
Set a timer and commit to taking 3 minutes to just breathe.
Focus on your breath everyday for 7 days.
If 3 minutes is not enough, set it for 7.  But by all means, do it. 

Simple right?
