Let Go-Again and Again and Again

Letting Go...Again and again
Last August our practice was letting go. But then, we were letting go of an unneeded habit that was holding us back. This time we're letting go of a different habit. Life can get so busy and confusing sometimes and our minds will take over and run that tape of "What will happen? Will this work out? Will that work out? How do I know I'm doing the right thing?"...on and on and on it can go. Not this week. This week we are going to stop this mind and let go. Yes, just let go of those questions.

Simple Everyday Spiritual Practice

When we catch our mind going into 'figure it out-questioning" mode, stop, breath and say "I let go." And when it starts up again we let go again. Yes this is an exercise in trusting the Divine, God, Spirit. Wow, it's easier than it seems. Or at least it feels better. :)

Inhale, Exhale, Inhale, Exhale
Sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Place your hand on your belly and feel it rise with a deep inhale. Allow the exhale to effortlessly follow the inhale. Let your shoulders drop. Continue for 1 minute. Or make it two if you have time.

Prayer

Prayer
In light of the recent devastation in Japan dueI thought that only prayer can be sufficient right now. But what is prayer?, Who/what are we praying to? And so many people ask me, how do I pray?

What science has shown is that prayer does impact a healing person. The how of this is still being discovered but prayer works. It is a personal conversation with the Divine of our own being. There is no right or wrong way to pray. It is a pure method for knowing and sending love. Speak whatever words come from your heart, for our brothers and sisters in Japan, for our global family and all the wars and rumors of wars, for gratitude for our families (here and beyond), for running water in our homes, for lights at the flip of a switch, for healing on a global scale.....for love. If all we do is send thoughts and words and prayers of love to each other, we will know peace.

Simple Everyday Spiritual Practice

Pray. However you do it. Speak words of love, peace and healing into the world.

One minute practice
Speak words of gratitude for one minute. Say everything in your life that you are grateful for. The car is a GREAT place to do this.
